Clinton runs two luxury suites out of the same house in Boston, a three-bedroom and a two-bedroom, each with its own design identity. He had both units perfectly staged when I arrived. My job was to photograph them in a way that justified the nightly rate and gave guests enough visual confidence to book without hesitation.

It rained the entire first day of the shoot. That turned out to be a good thing for interior work. Overcast light is one of the most underrated conditions for indoor photography: no hard shadows, no direct sun streaming through the windows, and a natural diffusion that made balancing the window light with the interior lighting almost effortless. I shot both units completely on day one and came back the following day for exterior coverage once the weather cleared.

The three-bedroom is the more traditional of the two: a marble fireplace surround, linen drapes, a chef's kitchen with pendant lighting over the island, and a sunroom that adds a room most Boston listings simply cannot offer. Clinton had every room dialed in before I walked through the door, which made it easy to move quickly and stay focused on composition.

The two-bedroom suite, Myrna Manor, has a completely different energy. Live-edge coffee tables, a wave wall sculpture, a statement chandelier over the dining table, green velvet chairs. The design is more eclectic and intentional, and the photography needed to honor that. I let the details lead and shot tight on the pieces that make the space memorable.

Both units were covered in full: living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, office, sunroom, laundry, garage, backyard, and exterior. Gallery-ready for Airbnb, VRBO, and direct booking platforms.

Why Boston Airbnb photography needs to work harder

Boston is a competitive short-term rental market. Business travelers, medical stays, family visits: the guest pool is wide, but so is the supply. Listings that lead with professional photography consistently outperform those that don't, not just on bookings but on nightly rate. Good Airbnb interior photography doesn't just show a space. It communicates that the host takes the experience seriously, which is exactly what a guest needs to see before they commit.

I photograph short-term rental properties across Boston and Massachusetts. If your listing is ready for photos that help it book itself, let's talk.
